Family photos were always a huge part of family legacy for me. I am very close with my parents. To this day, almost every time I visit with them I ask for my Dad to bring the box full of photos down, and I can spend hours looking at our family memories. My Dad always had a camera with him, and I am so grateful to have lots of beautiful portraits of my Mom in all her beautiful ages, portraits of us together, my grandparents... to me all these photographs are priceless. When the beautiful woman featured in this post, Ms. T., called me to inquire about a photo session, she specifically said that she just wants photos of her boys. I feel very passionately about photographing Moms too (maybe because I cherish portraits of my Mom so much), and I convinced Ms T that she has to have portraits of herself FOR her children, and that she has be to in portraits WITH them.

When Ms. T arrived to our Toronto photo studio she got full celebrity treatment (because let's be honest... when we become Mothers we do so little for ourselves), and then we had a great time taking beautiful portraits in her favourite outfits before her boys and her husband joined us at the studio for family portraits. The portraits we created will stay in their family for generations, they are legacy, and I feel very honoured that Ms. T chose me to capture them. Please enjoy my selection!
