A lot goes in to a photoshoot, here’s what you can expect
Planning Your Session
Each photoshoot starts with a pre-session consultation where we’ll get to know one another, discover your wants and expectations and design a theme for the shoot that’s unique to you!
When is comes to a theme:
The possibilities are endless! Soft and ethereal, bold and confident, or something sexy, we’ll create photoshoot with you in mind so when you walk in on the day of the photoshoot, you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Consultations typically last about 1 hour and are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.
Preparing for The Shoot
Once a plan has been made for your shoot, it’s time to prepare an outfit! I suggest you consider buying your dream outfit to make your portraits extra special. How to prep your:
SKIN
Please come to the studio the morning of your session with your skin completely clean and free of any cosmetics. Avoid getting an artificial tan or spray tan prior to your shoot.
HAIR
You should arrive to the studio with your hair freshly washed and completely dry. Please do not straighten your hair or put any products in it. If needed, please make sure your roots are touched up prior to your shoot.
NAILS
Since hands play a very important role in your portrait, it’s best if your nails are trimmed with light or no polish and avoid designs or bright bold colours.

What to Bring with You
On the day of your photoshoot, please make sure you have the following items with you:
• A nude strapless bra and matching nude thong
• A black strapless bra and matching panties
• A pair of slippers to walk around the studio in
• Any gowns, lingerie, vintage items or accessories you may have to make your session unique!
What to Expect Day Of
Time to have some fun!
It’s my goal to make you look and feel your most confident and beautiful when you step in front of my lens. Once we’ve created your first look, the real fun begins.
Some posing and positions may feel awkward and uncomfortable at times, but I'll direct you through each step of the process - from your feet and hands, all the way up to the top of your head. While posing may feel like a physical challenge at times, I promise that you will look natural, elegant and relaxed in your photographs.
Tips and tricks for your shoot:
Smeyes!
Aka, smiling with your eyes. Practice looking at yourself in the mirror and smiling with your eyes. This simply means relaxing your mouth and giving a soft, gentle smile while focusing on your eyes. A little practice beforehand will give you more confidence when I ask you to smile with your eyes during the shoot.
Ballet Hands
Hands play a very important role in creating your portraits. "Ballet hands" simply means soft, relaxed hands and fingers. Practice touching your face, neck, shoulders and hips with your fingertips. We want the hands to be relaxed and soft.
Post Photoshoot
Two to three weeks after your photo session you will be invited back to my studio for your reveal session. This is where we’ll be able to review all of the photographs taken and you select your favourites!
All the decision makers should be present at this appointment as this is when your choice is finalized and the images are delivered to you.
With every digital image purchased, I will provide a complimentary matted desktop size print. What portraits you fall in love with and wish to purchase is entirely up to you!
